Hi Van Ness families,
My name is Marbel Torres-Sanchez, I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I have worked with LAUSD for the past two years as a special education assistant. This year will be my first year teaching as a Visual Impairment teacher.
I obtained my BA in Child Development at California State University, Los Angeles. Working at Van Ness elementary has encouraged me to pursue my degree in Special Education. I am excited to start working and collaborating with students, parents, and teachers for the educational success of our students. As a teacher, I will support, care, and nourish while implementing rigorous educational activities for our students.
A little fun thing about myself is I enjoy going to theme parks and traveling around the world.
