Hello, My name is Vianney Escalera and I am extremely excited to become part of the Van Ness Family. I was born in Los Angeles, CA and I attended public schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District. I received my BA in Child Development and Credential in Early Childhood Special Education at CSULA. I love ice cream, spending my free time traveling, and I enjoy camping and hiking.
Special Education has taught me the importance of inclusion, compassion, and perseverance. I believe all students are capable of learning and being successful. It is all a matter of getting to know the child and finding ways to help them progress and achieve their goals. Patience is key.
As a teacher, I will support my students and adapt curriculum to their eligibility in order to reach milestones. I am excited to build relationships with students, parents and staff. All of this will lead to a successful and memorable year at Van Ness Elementary.
